Kleppan

Kleppan is a collective of artists and composers, led by the young Norwegian jazz drummer Amund Kleppan. All the members brings their own vibe to the collective, with a modern acoustic jazz sound in mind. The sound of the group is fresh, energetic, rhythmic and focused around strong melodies and active interplay. The music consists of original compositions, in addition to their own modernised arrangements of known jazz standards.

Amund Kleppan released his debut album Venture in 2019 to international acclaim. Since picking up his first pair of drumsticks eighteen years ago in his neighbour’s basement, Amund has been completely hooked. His passion for drumming led him to prestigious institutions: the Jazz Institute Berlin where he completed his Bachelor's degree, and finally the Royal Academy of Music for his Master's.
